Exploring God’s plan…

Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. – Jer. 1:5 When God called Jeremiah, these were His words to him…He reminded Jeremiah that He knew him, He set him apart, and He had a plan for Him. As followers of Christ, we have to know that God has a plan for us. And when it gets tempting to try and find our own route to what seems like a happy or an o-kay, life, we have to remember with every step, God wants to give us so much more. Even when: 1. You’re talking to a guy Remember God’s plan when you’re talking to a guy. Remember you don’t have to settle for someone who just wants your body, or just wants a girl on his arm. Wait on the kind of guy who is trusting in the Lord and what HE has planned. It doesn’t matter if you’re a teen, in your 20s, 30s, in Jeremiah 1 we see that you are never too young for God to have a plan for your life, and the guy you’re talking to should know that. He should know that he’s talking to a Daughter of the King, and because that King has a plan for His daughter, he should not even try to waste your time or take advantage of you. Don’t settle for anything from a guy, when God’s plan is that He promised to give you EVERYTHING you need in Jesus Christ. 2. You’re in a relationship “Not settling” isn’t just something for singles. Settle means to “sit or come to rest in a comfortable position.” Never let yourself to get to where you’re so comfortable with just dating, or even just being married, that you forget to thrive in your relationship for Christ! As we see in Jeremiah 1, Jeremiah told God that he was too young. He was uncomfortable with the idea that God would call him, but God quickly reminded Jeremiah: “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you.” You’re not too young to walk with your head high knowing that God has a plan. Don’t settle for where you are, when God is calling you, GO! And one day, you will wake up and you will SO glad you did
