“…keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18)
When you are prompted in your heart to pray for someone, don’t put it off; don’t fall asleep; don’t let yourself get distracted. You never know what that person might be going through or how timely it is for you to call on the Lord for them at the very moment you feel led to do so. The person may not know they’re in trouble; or they may be so discouraged or far away from God that they’re unable to pray. In fact, a lot of people needing God’s help aren’t praying, so God is stirring others to pray. How amazing it is to realize that we can pray wherever we are now, and something can happen on the other side of the world as a result! That’s the power of intercessory prayer. Pray, people of God, pray.
